What is negative feedback?

1) Level of the hormone in the blood is monitored by the brain.
2) When the levels fall= Pituitary Gland releases a hormone into the blood stream and triggers the gland to release more of the orginal hormone into the blood.
3) Increased level of the orginal hormone is detected by the brain and prevents the pituary gland from releasing more of the hormone.
4) As the hormone level falls the gland releases less of the original hormone.
:If levels of the original hormone falls events are triggered to increase the level.
:If the level of the original hormone is too high events are triggered to bring it down.
