- topical keratolytics assist with hyperkeratotic areas 5% sal acid or 25% benzoyl benzoate every 2-3 days for one week then twice week until cure
- permethrin 2nd daily for 1-2 weeks then twice weekly until no more burrows found
- treat secondary bacterial infection
Pediculosis capitis louse lives for 30days, and lays 5-10 eggs per day on hair shafts
