- unknown (idiopathic)
- usually affects those between 50 and 75

- dry cough
- exertional dyspnoea
- malaise
- weight loss
- arthralgia

Signs?
A
- cyanosis
- clubbing
- fine end-inspiratory crepetations

investigations?
A
- blood
- CXR
- CT
- spirometry
- bronchoalveolar lavage
- lung biopsy

What will be found on ABG?
A
decrease PaO2 and if severe increase PaCO2

Q
What treatment is given?
A
- supportive care
- anti fibrotic drugs
- oxygen
- pulmonary rehab
- lung transplant
