How effective was the July bomb plot?

A

Point: wasn’t very effective because didn’t work and got caught
Evidence: army officers planted bomb that narrowly missed hitler in 1944
Analysis: not effective because it was close but didn’t work, they were caught so could resist anymore and it would’ve only increased hitler paranoia causing more punishments for others opposing

A

Point: not effective because got caught and was very passive
Evidence: 1943 caught distributing anti nazi leaflets
Analysis: not effective because it didn’t change much because it just criticised nazis which would’ve gave any major impact and they were all executed and couldn’t raise in any more or other more active ways.

How effective was public criticism?

A

Point: some people were too significant to be arrested
Evidence: cardinal galen criticism of the gestapo couldnt be arrested because too significant
Analysis: allowed to carry on resisting and getting his message out to lots of people so very effective because he could countiually do it. Also gave other confidence too if he was able to and the nazis didn’t arrest him so inspired others.

Where was opposition located and how strong was it?

A

Point: opposition increased but was widespread so not very effective
Evidence: nazi propaganda was good at brainwashing people and few realised the atrocities committed
Analysis: opposition wasn’t major because propaganda made people support the nazis and celebrated the successes of the early war period.
