PRIMARY FORCES OF LABOR
● Frequency, duration, & intensity of uterine
contractions as the fetus moves through the birth
passage.
● Effectiveness of the maternal pushing effort.
● Duration of labor.
DANGER SIGNS DURING LABOR
● Fetal Heart Tone (FHT)
● Presenting part
● Uterine contractions
● BP
● Failure of the cervix to dilate
● Dyspnea, sense of suffocation
● Maternal tachycardia
● Continuous abdominal pain
