Scotland tried to invade England whilst Henry VIII was in France but Catherine of Aragon still managed to defeat the Scottish and in the fighting King James IV of Scotland was killed.
What did James IV’s death at the Battle of Flodden mean?
It meant that the Scottish threat was gone for nearly the entirety of Henry VIII’s reign.

What happened in the Battle of Solway Moss?
The English defeated the Scottish in battle and a couple of weeks later King James V died and this meant that again the Scottish problem was subdued.

Charles promised to help Henry but in the end he abandoned Henry and this lead to no gains for Henry and showed how Henry was out of his depth.
