  • Diabetes (type 2) - body fails to produce enough insulin
  • CHD - Build of cholesterol in blood stream
  • High blood pressure - linked to CHD due to lumen getting smaller
  • Increase risk of osteoporosis - lack of weight bearing activity, decreases bone density
  • Loss of muscle tone - muscles become weak, muscular atrophy
  • Loss of posture - muscles become weak, muscular atrophy
  • Negative impacts on COFs - lack of exercise causes a negative effect on fitness
