A

He was the leader of the Parti Canadien (they were a majority party in the legislative assembly). He would eventually lead the people of Lower Canada to rebel against the British authorities.

What was the response to the 92 Resolutions?

A

Lord John Russel sent back the 10 resolutions which rejected all of the demands made in the 92 Resolutions. To make matters worse, the only power that the legislative assembly actually had (the right to increase or deny taxes) was taken away from them.
