A

They lost their right to replace their bishop and their right to collect tax. No tax=no $ no $=no church. And without Bishops you will have no more priests.

A

IN order to ensure that the French did not join the Americans and rebel against Britain, the French were given many of their rights back in the Quebec Act in 1774.

Name a problem that the first governor under the new British rule faced.

A

Governor Murray had to implement the Royal Proclamation which was meant to assimilate the French. The French at the time represented 99% of the population. This is why Governor Murray was very lenient in his application of the Royal Proclamation.
