A
- Hypotension
- Headache
- Flushing of skin
- Occasionally - bradycardia

Glyceryl Trinitrate - Contraindications (5)
A
- Systolic BP <90
- HR <50 (not in autonomic dysreflexia pts)
- Sildenafil (viagra) or Vardenafil (levitra) in past 24 hrs
- Tadalafil (cialis) in past 3-4 days, 4-5 in elderly and renal impaired
- known hypersensitivity

A
Tablet should fizz under tongue
Use within 3/12 of bottle opening - must be dated

A
Chest pain
Adult - 600mcg S/L
- 300mcg S/L if sBP 90-100 or not normal med.
Repeat initial dose x 1 if req
Acute APO
Adult - 600mcg S/L
- 300mcg S/L if sBP 90-100 or not normal med.
Repeat initial dose x 1 if req
Autonomic dysreflexia
Adult - 300mcg S/L
Paediatric (12-16yrs) - 150mcg S/L
If little/no effect repeat x 2 as req at 5/60.
