Glucocorticoids Flashcards

1
Q

What is the MoA of glucocorticoids?

A

They are cortisol receptor agonists which then stimulates the production of lipocortin.

Lipocortin inhibits phospholipase A2, reducing inflammation by decreasing arachidonic acid after inflammatory challenge, prostaglandins, and leukotrienes.
