-state what you can see in the source (use attribution to help)
-make an inferance/something you can learn
-include 3 detailed bits of own knowledge to suppourt this inferance
what is the structure of question 2 - what is the purpose of source B?
-state two reasons why the source was made (eg what it wanted to gain/change/encourage)
-select the features of the source that helps it to achieve it’s purpose and explain how it does this
-put the source into context - what was going on at the time, when was it made etc (the source was made…at the time….)
what is the structure of question 3 - do the interpretations support the view that…
-start with the source that agrees with the view + use a quote to show this
-use your knowledge to develop and back up this agreement
-repeat for the interpretation that doesnt agree with the view
-give a reason why the views may differ (use the attribution to help)
what is the structure of question 4 - which source is more useful to an historian studying….
-opening scentence - both sources are useful to an historian studying…….
-give two reasons why source A is useful, give a quote to show where you have learned this, use your own knowledge to illustrate this point
-repeat for source B
-make sure to refer to intended audiences and do not discuss reliablility
-make a judgement about which source is more useful. directly compare the two sources.

-provide 2 pieces of knowledge to agree with the interpretation + explain how this agrees
-provide two pieces of knowledge to counter the interpretation + explain how this counters
