Ferritin levels (alarm features)

What is the protocol for endoscopy with Gastritis?

A

Any ALARM symptoms

> 55yrs

Treatment?

A

Follow dyspepsia protocol
- New dyspepsia = simple antacids

  • Symptoms persist = H.Pylori test (urea breath test)
  • H. Pylori negative = PPI (omeprazole
  • H. Pylori positive = H.Pylori eradication therapy

Review at 4 weeks

  • If symptoms persist for H. Pylori negative then do eradication therapy
