Fever
Severe pain

Rebound tenderness
Generalised peritonism

FBC
USS
CT with contrast
- For free fluid

Perforation

WCC, ESR and CRP all raised

When is surgery indicated in diverticulitis?
A
- Large abscesses
- Generalised faecal/peritonitis
