How many fuel pumps does the aircraft have and how many are gravity feeding?
6 pumps but only 4 have gravity feeding. The center tanks do not have gravity feeding.
2 fuel pumps (x 2) each inner tank and 2 fuel pumps for the center tank
Where is the center tank located?
Under the fuselage
Where are the inner and outer tanks located?
In the wings
Max total fuel allowed?
41,814 lbs
Max center tank fuel?
14,274 lbs
Max inner tanks fuel?
12,270 lbs x 2
Max outer tanks fuel?
1,500 lbs x 2
How is fuel transferred from the outer to the inner tanks?
Transfer valves
When do the outer tanks start transfering to the inner tanks?
FOB at 6,300 lbs or 1,650 lbs each inner tanks + 3,000 lbs for both outer tanks.
What do the Low Pressure Fuel valves for?
Transfer fuel from the fuel system to the engines. May be turned off when the engine master switch is turned off or when the Fire pb is pushed
When will the Low Pressure Valve turn to inline green on the EWD?
At the start of the engine
When do the Low Pressure Valves turn to crossline amber?
When the engines master switch are turned off or the Engine Fire pb is pushed
When does the Gross Weight appear on the EWD?
After the start of one engine
What will happen when the Slats are extended after engine start?
Inner tanks will now feed the engines for take off. Taking over the center tanks
When do the center tank pumps start to feed the engines?
When slats are retracted
