- Fire detection and extinguishing systems in the engines, APU
- Smoke detection and extinguishing systems in the cargo and lavatories
- Smoke detection in the avionics bay
- Portable fire extinguishers in the cockpit and cabin
What are the fire detection systems of the engines and APU? 2
Each have their own:
- 2 loops in parallel (A & B)
- Fire Detection Unit, FDU
How many extinguishers are there for the engines and how are they activated? 2
- Two bottles
2. Activated on the FIRE overhead panel (squib pb)
The indications and control on the overhead panel for avionics smoke are:2
The Emer ELEC PWR panel and VENTILATION panel

Yes. At the external power panel, an APU Fire indicator and guarded shut off pb
What happens when the external APU shutoff pb outside the aircraft is pressed?
Shutoff is confirmed and external horn is cancelled
Where are the automatic fire extinguishing systems of each of the lavatories located?
In the waste bin
