A FW Safety Plan is to be developed and promulgated, either on its own or as part of the Planned Maintenance System

Every 3 months. Chlorine 50ppm
What is the minimum interval for the disinfection of Fresh Water Hoses? How to prolong their lifespan?
6 months, should be filled and left to stand for 1 hour in Chlorine 50ppm solution.
Fitting of blanking caps, stowage in designated hose locker. Use of supports to keep hoses clear of ground when loading FW.

Calorifiers should be opened, inspected, descaled and cleaned.
It is recommended this takes place annually.
Prior to draining, raise temperatures to 70°C to ensure any bacteria has been destroyed.
