what is formal equality?
two persons have equal status in one normatively relevant respect , they must be treated equally with regard to this respect.
what is formal principle of justice?
equals should be treated equally and unequal’s unequally(for example waiting times)

what are the 5 principles of distributive justice
1.utitlitsrism:maximises utility policy is looking for the best state of affairs
2.priortarinism: aggregative consequentialism -only looks at certain parts of the consequences
3.strict egalitarianism: :intrinsically valuable that people have equal access to the same level of goods or services
4.suffcientarianism:aims at making sure each of us has enough
5.desert-based principle: allocate according to deservingness
what is the actual allocation policy?
kidney allocation policies are balanced with factors such as waiting time, urgency and utility.
