Q

What are the 5 steps to Repeated Measures?

A

1) Recruit a group of participants.
2) The group does the experiment with the IV set for condition 1.
3) Break.
3) The group repeats the experiment with IV set for condition 1.
5) Compare the results.

Q

What are the two advantages to repeated measures and counterbalancing?

A

1 - Group differences = none, results are directly comprisable.

Q

What are the two disadvantages to repeated measures and counterbalancing?

A

1 - Demand characteristics, puts are likely to realise motif of experiment.

2 - Order Effects, you do not know if any improvement is due to conditions or just repetition.
