Q

process in the nephrons

A

brach of renal artery containing waste, useful molecules, and water is delivered from the circulation

in bowman’s capsule blood is filtered into nephron

at first coiled tubule, most of useful molecules and water is reabsorbed

in the loop of Henle alters salt concentration

in the collecting duct, kidney reabsorb water and return it to the blood.

useful molecules are returned back to the renal vein but waste are transported to as urine

Q

what happens if there is damage to the kidney

A

stop the nephrons working efficiently. the body can no longer control the composition or amount of urine. content of the blood plasma and tissue fluid is not kept at its optimum
