- loss of subcutaneous tissue (makes nose look more prominent)
- coarser nose hairs
- diminished sense of smell
What should the sinuses normally feel like upon palpation?
firm pressure, but no pain
What do normal tonsils look like?
- pink
- rough, indented crypts
- no exudate (puss)

this is the most frequent site of carcinoma on the tongue

Candidiasis (thrush)
- yeast infection
What are signs and symptoms of dehydration of the mouth?
- dry mucosa
- fissured tongue
- cracked lips
