Nasopharyngitis, dizziness, drowsiness) - Anxiety and depression (low mood)

Can levetiracetam be taken in pregnancy?
A
- Yes
- Dose should be monitored throughout and after pregnancy (Levetiracetam concentrations decrease during pregnancy)
- Recommended to also monitor Fetal growth

Can Levetiracetam be taken whilst breast-feeding?
A
- Yes
- But extra monitoring on infant required as present in breast milk

Why does levetiracetam have few interactions than other antiepileptics?

- It’s not massively affected by
CYP enzymes
