What does self concept mean?

A

This is how the individual sees themselves and how the individual believes others sees them.

NOTE - ALWAYS define self image and self esteem in the same answer as self concept for exam marks!!!

A

In infancy:
praise from parent / carer
praise from learning a new skill e.g. walking

Early childhood:
praise from parent / carer
praise at school for achievements
accomplishing a task or skill

Adolescence:

poor school achievement (e.g. exams)
teenage pregnancy
