Q

Describe how two films can be used for a part of varying thicknesses?

A

Single cassette loaded with two high contrast films of differing speeds (fast for thick & slow for thin). Need to increase kilo-voltage to reduce total amount of subject contrast - also result in a reduction in image detail visibility.

Q

Describe duplication via one-sided emulsion

A

Take the one-sided emulsion film after exposure, in a darkroom, place on a light source of the duplicator and exposure time is set. Emulsion side of film is placed against radiograph and sealed by a lid, both films are exposed and the duplicate is processed.
