It is a disease when people can not control their own blood sugar

A hormone released from the pancreas that converts glucose to glycogen by telling other muscles to store some of the glycogen
What is glucose
A sugar carried in your blood
What is glycogen
A sugar that is stored in your liver
What is glucagon
a hormone released from the pancreas that converts glycogen into glucose
How can you treat diabetes
reduce sugar/carbs in diet
Inject insulin
Be more physically active

What is type 2 diabetes
Target organs don’t respond properly to insulin, even if the pancreas releases insulin (Elderly)
What is type 1 diabetes
Type 1 diabetes is a disorder in which the pancreas fails to produce enough insulin. Meaning there blood sugar levels are too high (Childhood)
