On-Call Mental Health Clinician

If you are unsure when to request an on-call clinician, the following examples represent a non-comprehensive list of events that warrant on-call services:

A
  1. Line of duty deaths.
  2. Line of duty injuries.
  3. Death by suicide of a firefighter, active or retired.
  4. Close call involving a firefighter.
  5. Traffic accident involving a firefighter with/without injuries or death of either the firefighter or a community member.
  6. Suicidal ideation (suicide thoughts).
  7. Homicidal thoughts.
  8. Altered mental status/psychotic break.
  9. Emotionally Impactful event experienced on the job (e.g., death of a child, response to a suicide call, etc.).
