On-Call Mental Health Clinician
If you are unsure when to request an on-call clinician, the following examples represent a non-comprehensive list of events that warrant on-call services:
A
- Line of duty deaths.
- Line of duty injuries.
- Death by suicide of a firefighter, active or retired.
- Close call involving a firefighter.
- Traffic accident involving a firefighter with/without injuries or death of either the firefighter or a community member.
- Suicidal ideation (suicide thoughts).
- Homicidal thoughts.
- Altered mental status/psychotic break.
- Emotionally Impactful event experienced on the job (e.g., death of a child, response to a suicide call, etc.).
