it is a small island in the Caribbean, It has the Soufrie’re Hill Volcano

The plunging of the South American and North American plates under the Caribean plate.

In 1995, the volcano erupted after being dormant for 400 years.

The biuggest settlmnt and capital, Plymouth, with a population of 4,000 was covered in ash and abandoned

A wider impact on Monserrat as Plymouth contained all of the government offices and most of the shops and services.

All public servises (goverment, health and education) had to be moved to the north of the island.
The population fell from 11,000 to 4,500 because many people fled to near by Antigua. Some refugees had to stay on the island with tents.

The northen part of the island has been redeveloped with new homes, hospitals, roads and airport.

it is a volcano in northen Sumatra, Indonesia.

on the Pacific Ring of fire, with over 120 active volcanoes. Sinabung is currently one of the most active.
since when has Sinabung been active and why are people still living there?
since 2010, the area surrounding is a fertile plateau that the volcano has helped form.
what have the effects of the activeness since 2010 been in Sinabung?
more than 30,000 villagers have been evacuated.
The Department of health provided doctors and medicine to the evacuees.
The natural disaster agency provided food and face masks.
Kitchen were set up, blankets, sleeping mats and tents were provided.
what has been going on after 2012 in Sinabung?
In 2013 crops failed because of ash fall.
In February 2014, there were 16 deaths by an eruption.
In 28 July 2021, she erupted again, killing 7 people.
