How many people have died?

Over 500 deaths were attributed to the heatwave in July alone. This isn’t just from the obvious things like heat exhaustion and dehydration, but people drowning in bodies of water whilst attempting to cool down.

Q

Your Opinion?

UK Heatwave

A

I believe that greenhouse gas emissions are the obvious cause and it links in to my other topic of the amazon rainforest fires. Whilst the UK could be doing a lot more to reduce our emissions, we’re miles ahead of other countries. It is scary how some of the biggest countries like the USA, Russia, and China are so reliant on fossil fuels whilst some countries have already set target dates for which they wish to become carbon neutral. Ours is 2050 with Scotland 2045.
