What are communicable diseases?
A
- Can spread from one person to another person and is infectious.
- Spread by pathogens such as bacteria or viruses.

What is non-communicable diseases?
A
- Cannot be passed from one person to another.
- Non-infectious.
- E.g: Coronary Heart Diseases.

A
- Defined as the state of physical and mental-well being.
- Ill health can be caused by both;
- Communicable and Non-Communicable diseases.
- Poor Diet.

- Can be fatal.
Most people: immune system can fight off TB. - Some People: defective immune system for example people with HIV/

Which people are more likely to suffer from infectionous diseases?

- People with a defective immune system.

What is HPV?
A
- Extremely common.
- In most people it is harmless.
- Some people: HPV can cause cervical cancer.
- Around 3000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer each year in the uk.

What are most cervical cancers caused by?
A
- HPV.
- Infects the cells of the cervix.

What is another way a disease can be triggered from?
A
- immune system.
- E.g: Allergies.
- Asthma.
- Body is infected by a pathogen that the immune system fights off but person is left with an allergy.
