- Bacteria had evolved so that they were no longer killed by the antibodies.

- Treats the symptoms of a disease by reliving pain.
- Do not kill pathogen.

Why is it hard to make antibiotics for viruses?

- Viruses live and reproduce in cells.
- Difficult to develop drugs that kill viruses without damaging the bodies body tissues.
