Risk factors:
- CKD, diet, physical activity, sun exposure
Complications e.g. low impact fractures
Investigations:
- Bloods UEC, Phosphate, Calcium, ALP, PTH, Vit D
- DEXA scans
Manage:
- Sunlight
- Low phosphate diet
- Phosphate binders
- Supplementation Vit D/Calcium
- Renal dietician to assist with bolstering diet
- Weight bearing exercise + physiological review
- Consider falls risk e.g. home modifications, optimise vision / gait aids
