Eight Trigrams
Invented by the emperor Fu Xi. It is a pattern of straight and broken lines used for record-keeping, and interpretation of events.
Fu Xi
The first king who discovered the essential order of all things. He invented the Eight Trigrams.
Huangdi (The Yellow Emperor)
He is thought to have ruled from 2696 to 2598. I his rule he conquered his brothers territory and spread his rule over his brothers land.
Shennong (The Farmer King)
He was a legendary ruler of China and cultural hero. Shennong followed after perhaps the greatest king of all Huangdi (The Yellow Emperor)
Sima Qian (The Grand Historian)
The Grand Historian who collected the traditional tales of china into an epic history.
Yangtze River
The Yangtze River, like the Yellow River, was more to the south of the Yellow River, and ran east from the high plateau now called Qing Zang Gaoyuan - the Plateau of Tibet - and ended in the Yellow Sea.
