He was chosen by the Philistines to fight for Pentapolis. He was 3 meters tall, armed to the teeth, and had been fighting man since his youth.

He was the king of Tyre, he and David made an alliance.
Israel
This is were Joshua was succeeded not by a king, but by a series of chief judges, prophets who told the Hebrew tribes what God required.
Joshua
He was the aide and assistant to Moses. After Moses died he became leader of the Hebrew tribes.
Meshwesh
This was the name of the Libyan police force.
Pentapolis/Peleset/Philistines
They had taken part in the Sea People attack on Egypt, they settled down near the Mediterranean. Their settlements grew into cities, cities into a loosely organized alliance. They didn’t write and their culture was mostly borrowed.
Samson
He was the most famous of the judges of the Hebrew tribes in Israel, he exercised his guidance over the whole territory of the Pentapolis around 1050. He was tricked and captured by Delilah, and he was hauled of the Gaza. He was brought out on display, and pulled down the temple of Dagon on top of himself and over three thousand of the enemy. He killed many more when he died then when he lived.
Saul
He became an Israelite king by the last judge of Israel. He was an impressively tall Benjamite, chosen to lead military victory.
Queen of Sheba
She is the first personality to struggle up out of the sandstorm covering the ancient history of the Arabian peninsula, and almost only surviving face and name from the Arabia if very ancient times.
Sheshonq
He was the Great Chief of the Meshwesh who had ambitions of his own. He created an alliance with the south, and he recaptured some of the land that had once belonged to Egypt.
