Nursing Team

(1) Functional Team- each nurse is assigned specific tasks, ie, a medication nurse, a treatment nurse, one to transcribe orders, etc.
(2) Case Method- one nurse manages all the care a client or group of clients needs for a period of time. This method is often used in home health care and community health nursing.
(3) Team Nursing- nursing personnel divide the clients into groups and complete their care together.
(4) Primary Nursing- The admitting nurse assumes responsibility for planning client care and evaluating the client’s progress.
(5) Nurse-Managed Care- The nurse manager plans the nursing care of clients based on their type of case or medical diagnosis.
