Q

Why is it important that cellular conditions, such as Temperature and pH in narrow limits?

Q

How does competitive inhibition work?

A

> (molecule or part of the molecule) that has similar shape to the substrate of the enzyme, so it fits in the active site.
This then blocks substrates from entering the active site, preventing the enzyme from catalysing the reaction.
The enzymes cannot carry out its function and is said to be inhibited.
