Report for duty when impaired by alcohol or drugs
discuss specific facts about any fire, med, or emerg response with any person not employeed with the dept, except when authorized by manage
Furnish specific info relating to business affairs of the dept with any person not employeed by the dept, except when authorized by management
Make false statements, which may discredit the dept or any of its members
meet salespersons or clients to conduct personal business
endorse a product marketed for the fire or med services to non dept employees
harass or discriminate against anyone
use their uniform, badge, rank or position for personal gain
expected conduct
Report for duty and special events neatly groomed and dressed in clean appropriate issue uniform
comply with attendance management guidelines as per administrative directive A1108B
Treat all visitors, peers and colleagues in a courteous and respectful manner
Respect all ranks, including pro trained and certified staff
respond to all emerg, incidents and events with the goal of providing the best possible service to ed residents and visitors
complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
ensure the safety and health of themselves and coworkers
report any breach of these guidelines to the immediate or other appropriate supervisor as soon as possible
Fire rescue operations - order of dress?
Order of Dress #1 - Station Wear
Order of Dress #2 - Dress Uniform
Order of Dress #3 - Walking out Uniform
Note:
Specific coveralls are issued for ppe purposes and also considered appropriate station wear for training or other specific reasons.
Fire rescue trade info
purpose to provide uniform coverage and maintain effective, continuous 24 hour/day emergency service operation.
members fo not exceed a total of 22 shifts traded
approval of all trading involving 3 and 4 consecutive shifts (limited to 3 per year)
C - shift changes involving 4 consec shifts are limited to 3 per year. all requests must be submitted to most senior approving officer not less than 48 hours prior to the first shift to be changed.
D - all changes of shift between officers may be only made with officers qualified to act in the capacity. no additional acting time will be paid due to any change of shift
E - It is the responsibility of a member who is unable to fulfill an agreed change of shift to arrange for another member to report for duty to fulfill the above obligation undertaken. platoon chief to be notified
f - failure of above to filfill obligation may result in suspension of shift change privelages
g- no change of shifts is complete until approved by appropriate officers

where would a member find the sop and sog manuals (hard copies)?
manuals are only located in upoer managements office, training school, fire investigations, fire prevention, and ercc
where would dept bulletins and notices be located?
in the station officers ‘ office and in the stations lounge or kitchen
