Should acepromazine be considered in patients with seizures?
Yes. A small study showed it being effective in stopping active seizure in 8/10dogs. However, other phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine have been shown to lower seizure threshold.
What is the max dose and frequency of mannitol?
2g/kg IV Q4-5 hours with a max of 3-4 administrations over 24 hour.
