Q

What is the 10% rule when making CRI?

A

This is a rule that hospital pharmacies use to ensure consistency in the final admixture product.
If the medication to be added to the bag is 10%
or more of the volume in the bag, then the same volume
should be removed from the bag prior to addition
of the medication.
