What is the treatment for a TIA?
Maintain a patent airway, suction if necessary, be prepared to assist ventilation, maintain adequate oxygenation, position the patient, check the blood sugar, protect any paralyzed extremities, and rapid transport.
What are some signs and symptoms of a headache?
Sensitivity to light, nausea & vomiting, sweating, no appetite
What are some types of treatment for a headache?
Establish or maintain an adequate airway, be prepared to suction, assess and maintain adequate ventilation, if applicable apply some oxygen, place patient in position of comfort, be prepared for seizures and transport.
What is a transient ischemic attack?
It is similar to a stroke with the same signs and symptoms but the TIA may resolve within one to two hours. Usually caused by a disruption in the blood flow.
