Electronic Thermometer
System of temperature measurement where water freezes at 32 degrees and boils at 212 degrees.
Fahrenheit (F)
A name for high blood pressure.
Hypertension
A name for low blood pressure.
Hypotension
Referring to the inside of a vein.
Intravenous
A deviation from the normal or expected pattern.
Irregular
Caused by standing.
Orthostatic
By mouth.
Oral
An unpleasant sensory / emotional experience associated with actual or potential damage.
Pain
Number of times the heart beats in one minute.
Pulse
Electronic device that measures the saturation of oxygen in your red blood cells.
Pulse Oximeter
Blood vessel that supplies blood to the forearm and hand.
Radial Artery
Common place for obtaining body temperature reading. Considered most accurate.
