signs of heat (5)

  1. female stands still when mounted by bull or another femele (standing heat). this is the best sign of estrus
  2. swelling of vulva and reddening of the vagnal epithelium
  3. mucus discharges of varying viscosity from the vagina, it is clear and watery at first and becomes turbid and sticky towars the end of estrus
  4. mounting other animals in the herd
  5. animal becomes restless and lacks appetite.

*note: not all these signs may be manifested by a carabao in estrus
