exclusive Teat sharply edged ulcers

A

–> Dx = herpes mammalitis ( reportable dz) - transmitted by insect bites ( higher in summer) –> isolate cow and have separate equipment to reduce transmission

  • Chemical burns - unlikely leave sections of normal skin
  • BVDV - viral lesions are crusty and raised
  • Pseudocowpox - lesions are raised with an ulcerated center
