I hope still I media, I enjoy working in this industry and I feel very lucky to work in it
I hope to shift more toward the streaming side of that which definitely think is the most interesting side at the moment, and a part of why im interested in this role
Hopefully in a capacity which help drive effective decision making
Maybe i’ll be leading on these projects and have a much more sophisticated grasp on this landscape and the opportunities within it
I don’t quite have the details around that, but those are some of the things id like to be able to do
Whats wrong with current role
I really enjoy my role and workign at Paramount and I think viewer insights and ratings is a great team to be a part of
But having worked more closely on the My5 side i find it infinitely more interesting the linear side which the role also ha alot of oversight over
I think that’s where the most interesting things in our industry are happening, especially at paramount where we have several players and a very big consolidation project on the horizon
So its not so much i’m being pushed from my current role as much as i’m drawn toward streaming
What can i offer
I’m sure you’re interview some very talented candidates
I think what i offer more than anythign is a very broad experience acorss media - I worked at a platform, at an analytics house, and now at a broadcaster and streamer and have a diverse experience of the media to draw upon which has really driven my understanding of the media landscape we’re in
Having a a background in forecasting, insight, and strategy, i think the area in which i’ll really excel is not just generating meaningful insight, but communicating them to senior stakeholders in a meaningful way which allows for key decision making which is what I hope I can offer to this role

what would you seek to accomplish in the first month
Understand how this role delivers value, and who my key stakeholders are, and start the work to build strong relationships with external stakeholders
I haven’t worked directly within a commercial team so i’d definitely want to understand exactly how the role fits into the business and each of the roles within it
But understanding how the role delivers value would definitely be the priority
