Q

what are the results of the plant responses required practical

A

you should expect to see shoots grow towards the light due to auxins collecting on the shaded side and causing cells to grow more quickly

Q

what is the method of the plant responses required practical

A
  • take a number of small plastic containers and make a hole on one side, all the holes must be the same size
  • put some soil in the containers and put in 10 cress seeds
  • put a lid on the containers in even lighting with the holes pointing in different directions
  • water the soil and leave for several days
  • measure length of shoots and record the direction they grow in used labelled scientific drawings
