A
  • A - RCP hi or lo lube oil level
  • B - RCP seal #1 failure
  • C - RCP seal #2 or #3 failure
  • D - loss of seal injection
  • E - loss of CCW to RCP / or RCP hi temp
  • F - loss of seal inj AND loss of therm barr cooling

What actions does FOP criteria for AP-28 (RCP malf) have you take?

What are the criteria that make you take actions?

A

1 seal outlet > 235 F

Trip reactor, implement E-0, stop affected RCP, go to step….

Seal return flow > 6 gpm and pump brng temps rising

Seal return flow > 6 gpm and seal return temps rising

Seal return flow > 8 gpm

Seal return flow < 0.8 gpm and pump brng temps rising

Seal return flow < 0.8 gpm and seal return temps rising

Any motor brng temp > 200 F

Any motor Stator temp > 300 F

CCW temp > 120 F

loss CCW to RCP motor coolers > 5 min

radial brng outlet > 225 F

loss of seal inj and thermal barier cooling

any valid seal flow or bearing temp alarm concurrent with vibration alarm
