Because one of the side effects is hyperglycemia

What is prazosin and what does it do?
Peripherally acting adrenergic blocking drug, inhibit the release of norepinephrine
What are centrally and peripherally acting blockers used for?
Cardiac arrhythmia, hypertension, benign prostatic hypertrophy/hyperplasia
What can you not use with centrally acting blockers and why?
MAOIs, because they increase the risk of orthostatic hypotension
