A

The inflammation of the pancreas
can be caused by;
➢ Due to descending gall stone
➢ Drug induced & alcoholism
➢ Post ERCP

A

refer to a hole or tear in a bodily organ or tissue.
Due to :
* Trauma
* peptic ulcers & neoplasm
➢ Gas escapes into the peritoneal space
➢ Can lead to peritonitis

  • Leads to gangrene and bowel obstruction

A
  • Blockage that prevents food or liquid from passing through the small intestine or large intestine.
    caused by;
    ➢Hernias e.g. inguinal hernia
    ➢Mechanical impaction e.g. Volvulus,
    intussusceptions
    ➢Disruption of nerve and blood supply e.g.
    paralytic ileus & Hirshprungs
    ➢Tumors & inflammations e.g. pancreatitis
