What happens in Act 4, Scene 1?
A
The three witches circle a cauldron changting spells and adding bizarre ingredients to their stew.
MB entersand asks the witches to reveal the truth of their prophecies to him. The witches summon apparitions, each of which offers a prediction to allay MB’s fears.
First- beware MD
Second- none of woman born…
Third-safe until Birnam woods march to Dunsinane.
Lennox enters and tells MB that MD has fled to England.
MB resolves to send murderers to capture MD’s castle and to kill MD’s wife and children.
