What happens in Act 3, Scene 4?
A
LMB and MB enter their feast. The first murderer appears and MB learns that Banquo is dead but is angry that Fleance escaped.
MB goes to sit at the head of the table but finds that Banquo’s ghost is sitting in his chair. MB speaks to the ghost (who is invisible to everyone else). LMB makes excuses for MB. Then she speaks to MB and questions his manhood. MB recovers but then the ghost reappears. LMB sends the guests away.
MB tells LMB that he heard that MD intends to keep away from the court, behaviour that verges on treason. He says that he will visit the witches again to learn more about the future and who may be plotting against him.
