What happens in act 1 scene 2?
A
Near King Duncan’s palace. King Duncan asks a wounded captain for the news about the Scot’s battle with the Irish invaders, who are lead by the rebel Macdonwald. The captain says how Macbeth and Baquo fought with courage. A Scottish nobleman enters and tells the King that the Thane of Cawdor has been defeated and the army of Norway repelled. The thank of Cawdor is sentenced to death and Macbeth is given this title.
